This training module will instruct teachers of English language learners how the Jane Schaffer® method of writing scaffolds the skills students need to be proficient writers. Participants will learn how to work through the proficiency levels as they teach their students thinking processes, vocabulary development, and comprehension, all of which empower students to be successful readers and writers.
Participants will learn the Jane Schaffer® terminology, color-coding, and unique writing steps that take English learners through the writing process. Using graphic organizers that guide students’ thinking and writing, this method takes the mystery, the struggle, and the frustration out of getting thoughts on paper.
