Our student consumable workbook, A Journey Through Expository Writing: Student Workbook, allows flexibility for educators to guide student learning individually as a self-paced guide and/or collectively as a collaborative and cooperative learning activity.
The workbook allows students to practice skills, strategies, and the writing process deepening their ability and their knowledge of expository writing. Each section of the workbook includes the following strategies: (1) a clear focus of the lesson; (2) overt instruction that engages students with examples, graphic organizers, questions, and multiple approaches to skill-based learning; (3) practice exercises that apply their knowledge; and (4) answer keys to provide feedback and to build students' self-efficacy.
