This workshop is one day, 5 hours (not including lunch), and covers both personal and fictional narratives. Teachers learn how to teach the personal narrative first and then transfer those skills to the fictional narrative. Schools may also choose to focus the day exclusively on either the personal or the fictional.

- Development and elaboration techniques
- 1-1 conferencing
