Ms. Shelly S. Cook, M.A, M.S.
Shelly Cook has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and two Master’s Degrees: English Literature and Theological Studies. Shelly began teaching right out of college and taught English Language Arts (ELA) courses for thirty years. Two of the districts in which she taught were Fort Worth ISD (1998-2003) and Dallas ISD (2003-2009), both urban districts with high-needs students. While in Dallas, she became an Advanced Placement® Lead English teacher for the LAMPSSS high schools in inner city Dallas (Lincoln, Adamson, Madison, Pinkston, Spruce, Samuell, South Oak Cliff), schools with a tradition of high dropout rates and teacher attrition. Shelly has been a trainer of ELA since the early 90s and became a Jane Schaffer Writing Program® trainer in 2011. She is now retired from the classroom and is a full-time presenter, trainer, and mentor for Louis Educational Concepts and the Center for Educational ReVision.
