Dear Dr. D’,
I am searching for a “Self-Study” or “quasi Self-Study” writing program for my daughter. She has a writing talent which we are attempting to develop. Her school administrator is agreeable to us finding a curriculum that she can follow, and he will “proctor”. Do you have any offerings that might help in this area?
I have been receiving inquiries like this for the past two years, so we are in the process of developing a student version of the program. It will have a web-based app with video instructions. The Beta is scheduled to come out June 1, but it will take a couple of months to finalize it. We’re very excited about it, and the teachers who have seen a glimpse of it are anxiously waiting. It’s going to to something special.
We are also slated to create nine videos for students, giving them the fundamentals of expository writing (Winter 2015). Then, we’ll move to response to literature, argumentation, and narrative.
I have to finish the revision of Jane’s Teaching the Narrative Essay. It’s been a long process because we’re creating Narrative for Elementary, Narrataive for Middle School, and Narrative for College Bound students Writing College Essays. I tell you this, because all of our guides will become web-based apps. I just need more than twenty-four hours in a day! Narrative is slated to be out by May 15.
Keep writing, and I’ll keep writing, too!
