Dr. Deborah E. Louis, owner of the JSWP, along with JSWP national trainers, will conduct three-day workshops in each of the four modes of discourse. This program focuses on empowering district coaches, deans, and teachers with the cognitive and implementation process of the "official" JSWP methodology. Qualified participants will be trained to deliver meaningful, accurate, and scaffolded JSWP skills and concepts to their district’s or campus’ faculty.

              • Train, supervise, monitor, or advise other OnSite trainers.
        • District/Campus Fee (This fee applies whether you have one or ten OnSite Trainers):
          • From Dr. Louis: What I envision with the Train-the-Trainer model is that a campus or district may choose an OnSite Trainer to provide training as well as follow-up coaching and mentoring within a district. Once an OnSite trainer begins the process of attending the institutes, s/he has access to me 24/7, learning how best to 1) present all modes of JSWP to your faculty, 2) field questions as they arise in all content areas, 3) discuss situations and best practices with me, my trainers, and other OnSite Trainers, and 4) access updates as we continue to digitize the program and revise the guides. The annual fee over three years decreases each year, representing a gradual release of responsibility on my part as the OnSite Trainer gains confidence and expertise with practice and mentoring. Certainly, even after three years, when the campus or district no longer pays a fee, an OnSite Trainer may contact me at any time with questions. However, the three-year fee assures the OnSite Trainer and his/her district/campus that I provide a continuous cycle of learning, devoted to helping OnSite Trainers become highly qualified and most effective. Change is a big part of education. I want to make sure that no matter what the nation, state, or district asks the students to do, with regard to their reading and writing skills, I am accessible to districts/campuses to provide sound advice to the OnSite Trainer. After 25 years, there are few questions I haven’t heard and few tests in which I haven’t been privy. Becoming an expert in JSWP takes time – differentiation techniques, adult learning techniques, adaptive techniques. I want to give you that time to build your confidence. I also want you to give me the time to assure that the program is being implemented as Jane and I intend and in a manner that yields students with increased skills and scores.

      • Billing Options: Since the four-part series occurs over a two-year budget cycle (2016-17; 2017-18), we are happy to separate the price into two separate invoices. For example, if you would like a teacher to register for the entire series, we can invoice the $999 for this summer's training to be included in your 2016-17 school year budget. Then, we can post-date an invoice for the remainder of the price of $2,501 plus the district fee to correlate with your 2017-18 budget cycle. You could then still receive the $496 discount.
